Simple troubleshooting tips about your computer.

Are you witnessing computer troubleshooting problems? Is your computer slow or blue screening? Some simple tips are trying to reboot your computer or getting a program to speed things up. Another simple tip, which is highly recommended, is updating your drivers to the most recent.

Where do viruses come from?

The most common source of virus infection is of course the Internet, this will not be a surprise and it doesn't mean that you have to stop accessing the Internet either. Most of the people who do unknowingly catch viruses from the net do so because they are click-happy. By this I mean they will click around and download anything on offer without knowing whether or not they can trust the source.

Do I need an Antivirus software?
Absolutely!

We can't emphasis this too strongly. Anytime you go online to shop or to access your email or just to surf the web you and your pc are vulnerable to attack by dangerous elements. These threats come in many forms and sometimes they can come from sites you've been to many times and "trust."

Do I need to backup my computer ?

Data loss can happen in many ways. One of the most common causes is physical failure of the media the data is stored on. You probably have everything saved on your PCs hard drive. That hard drive will not live forever. To quote a friend of mine, "there are only two types of hard drives - the ones that have failed and the ones that will fail." Yes, normally hard drives will live for years without incident. But eventually they will die. It might happen gradually, by more and more bad clusters accumulating until most of the drive is unusable. Or it might happen suddenly, the hard drive just dies without warning.

How to speed up your web browser?

Every web browser stores web pages, images and other downloaded content on the computer. This is called the browser's cache. Clearing it occasionally or regularly can protect your privacy and free up some space in your computer.

How to speed up your computer?

1. Free up disk space

2. Speed up access to data

3. Detect and repair disk errors

4. Protect your computer against spyware

Why secure your wireless router?

With traditional wired networks, it is extremely difficult for someone to steal your bandwidth but the big problem with wireless signals is that others can access the Internet using your broadband connection even while they are in a neighboring building or sitting in a car that's parked outside your apartment.
